Claude Monet
During breakfast in Nancy’s Place's dining room, Declan comments on the artwork hanging on the walls. Embrie tells him these paintings are being kept here for Andrew Mellon until the National Gallery of Art is completed and ready to display them.
Declan gravitates to a painting with lily pads under a bridge and says it looks like a Monet. Of course, it’s an original, and this painting no longer hangs in Nancy’s Place. It is now displayed at the National Gallery of Art down Constitution Avenue from Clypeate Headquarters.
