Hamlet References

When the Girl in the Glass takes over Declan’s unconscious body to give James and Bruce an ominous warning, the speech is described as a soliloquy worthy of Hamlet. This is a reference to Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, and the famous diatribes spouted by the eponymous prince. Despite Hamlet’s insanity, real or fake, his seven soliloquies are elegant and insightful, much like the one provided by the Girl in the Glass.

Later, Director Bowen describes himself as a bit player in the prophecies handed down by Hesperus. He calls himself Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, a reference to the bit players spying on Hamlet for the king.

Alas, poor Yorick! You should've flossed more and partied less.
