Prohibition in the United States

The 18th Amendment to the US Constitution prohibited making, importing, transporting, and selling alcohol. Prohibition in the United States lasted from 1920 to 1933. During these years, Americans used every tactic to get around the new law. Thomas Edison stashed his alcohol in Nancy’s Place, the Clypeate’s underground headquarters a perfect spot for a wine cellar. Thomas Edison died before Prohibition ended with the 21st Amendment, so his personal collection remained intact until it was discovered by Commander Kingston.
