A Rose by Any Other Name - Romeo and Juliet

In The Hesperus Prophecy, the professor angrily quotes the line “A rose by any other name” when he finds out the Clypeate sent him to Antarctica because his name is Declan.

In Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, our star-crossed lovers are reconciling their teenage lust for each other with the hatred between their families when Juliet spouts the famous line. “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet,” proving once again that you can be literally correct but still end up factually dead.
